State Level Support for the Development of Electric Vehicle Scrapping Protocol

The International Institute for Energy Conservation Pvt. Ltd. (IIECPL) is supporting the International Institute for Energy Conservation (IIEC) in addressing critical vehicular pollution and its associated health impacts by formulating a comprehensive End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) Scrapping Policy. This initiative aims to incentivize the phased removal of old polluting vehicles, promoting the adoption of cleaner and more sustainable alternatives such as electric vehicles.

The project’s key objectives include mitigating climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, advancing technological adoption through the replacement of outdated vehicles, and stimulating economic growth by boosting the automotive industry. Additionally, it seeks to create job opportunities in the scrapping and recycling sectors while significantly improving air quality for public health benefits.
